Getting Started....

If you are just starting or are interested in breeding pure european mouflon it is very important to do your homework. You will want supperior genetics, excellent color and great horn growth. I would recommend reading a book by Rickey Hunt of Majestic Mouflons called Mouflon World. You can find his website through my links page. After you have read the book, talk to a reputable breeder and look at their herd if possible. This will educate you on what type of sheep you like. Are you looking for fast horn growth? Do you prefer one type of horn shape over another? Are you looking for Good color? What about genetics? Are you going to raise your sheep for breeders, shooters or both?
